For example, the reason I embarked on this experiment in the first place was to test how a download agent behaved ethenret XP, and that agent wasn’t even able to connect to the download servers because there’s no OS-level support for the newer security standards they require, which furthers my point above about even using Firefox representing a Band-Aid at best, and a short-lived one given that Firefox may controlker dropping support for XP fairly soon.
